Toon Shaded Fauna

My roommate and good friend began to explore an interesting artstyle for a Software Engineering project of his. I've been exploring palette-based coloring and shading and have come to love it! The material graph uses a simple diffuse shadow to shift the UV coordinate lower into the palette gradient. This allows for a controlled cell shading across all models in a scene.

This examples of fauna also gave me a chance to take a chance at painting-over a 3D render in photoshop (As seen in the axolotl render). Overall it was a great chance to explore the medium further than I had before!
